The profit rate assumes 30 orders are delivered every hour by default. Other assumptions include that the player has already earned enough credits to fully fill up their reward token, and that all orders are rejected except if the customer is Captain Ninto, Captain Daerkin, Wingstone, Penwie, Brambickle, or Professor Manglethorp.

To start Gnome Restaurant, talk to Gianne jnr. on the 1st floor[UK]2nd floor[US] of the Grand Tree. Only accept delivery requests sent in by Captain Ninto, Captain Daerkin, Wingstone, Penwie, Brambickle, or Professor Manglethorp. If another customer is mentioned, do not progress the dialogue any further, but simply talk to Gianne jnr. again by selecting the right-click "Get job (hard)" option. This is only possible if enough deliveries have been made beforehand to fully fill up a reward token, meaning it would award 10 items of gnome food on activation.

Making the food

To achieve maximum number of deliveries per hour, it is advisable to stock up on gnome food before accepting deliveries, either by lovingly preparing them oneself or by purchasing them at the Grand Exchange. Note that supply might be low if using the latter option, so orders may have to be placed well in advance. If the drinks and dishes are homecooked, the number of deliveries per hour can be adjusted downwards accordingly. In this case, the cost of the various gnome food items used in this calculation can still be considered adequate, as they represent the opportunity cost of not listing the items for sale, and ingredient costs are negligible.

Preparing the food culinaries on the fly is viable option, as players have to factor in the banking time compared to the small run into Hudos kitchen and preparing dishes there, although one must have toad legs and worms in their inventory for the occasional order that can't be cooked just by the stock provided by Hudo. Extra toad legs and king worms should also be stocked up to avoid the long run to collect them during deliveries.

Although preparing food items on the fly is viable, players should consider preparing bulk of drinks beforehand as the run up to Heckel Funch takes a long time even with the royal seed pod. Iron players who want to prepare drinks in bulk can obtain the alcoholic drinks easily at Sunlight's Sanctum in Aldarin as it's very close to a bank.

</mapframe> After the order has been delivered, head back to the Grand Tree through one of the following methods:

  1. The fastest way is to use a royal seed pod, which is a reward from Monkey Madness II and has unlimited charges.
  2. Another way is to access the spirit tree network, which can be done at the Grand Exchange in Varrock.
  3. Alternatively, teleport to the Ardougne Monastery with an Ardougne cloak, then run north-west past the Clock Tower to reach the spirit tree.
  4. Teleport to Castle Wars with a ring of dueling, then take a balloon to the Tree Gnome Stronghold at the cost of one magic log per flight.
