A treatise on pressure

During my many adventures to planes beyond Gielinor, I've noticed the interesting effect of mass upon a compressible fluid or solid. While weight appears to vary from plane to plane, relative pressure remains constant. From these experiences, I've deduced that pressure can be recorded in relation to mass.

The unit of measurement I have chosen is quite arbitrary, but suits my needs. The pressure applied to a cubic yard of air by the heat of a typical dragon's flame I have dubbed as one dragflam (D). This can be broken down into 1,000 tickits (t).

Of course, it is difficult to coerce a person into a container to be scorched by a dragon. Instead, my reasoning behind this arbitrary unit is for the ease it provides in measuring vertical pressure. When comparing mass to vertical pressure, one kilogram (kg) nicely corresponds to one tickit (t).
