Blue eggs are used in Barbarian Assault to stun penance monsters. If loaded into an egg launcher and shot at penance creatures, a blue egg will stun its target for 6 seconds. During this time, the monster will not move, and cannot be targeted with food, weapons or the egg launcher. A maximum of five blue eggs may be loaded into the egg launcher at any given time. Both egg launchers share the same reserve of eggs.

Blue eggs are rarely used in the minigame due to the fact that firing one will render its target temporarily unattackable (and, in the case of healers, unable to be poisoned). However, they can still be useful for slowing down Penance runners from reaching the southern cave entrance should they manage to get past the player(s) who are assigned the Defender role.

A blue egg that hits a monster with zero hitpoints can cancel its death animation, making it immune to attacks until it has regenerated health.
