Adamantite ore can be mined at level 70 Mining providing 95 Mining experience. After adamantite rocks are mined, it will take four minutes until it reappears. Adamantite ore is used with six coal to smelt adamantite bars. Smelting an adamantite bar gives 37.5 Smithing experience.

Trivia

  • Although adamant is synonymous with hard, immovable, or stubborn, adamant and similar words like adamantite, adamantine (e.g. Virgil on the gate of Tartarus), and adamantium (e.g. Marvel Comics's Wolverine's skeleton) refer to any especially hard substance, whether composed of diamond, some other gemstone, or some type of metal. Both adamant and diamond derive from the Greek word ἀδάμας (adamās), meaning "untameable".
  • Adamantite ore weighs more than other smithing ores, weighing 2.721kg rather than the usual 2.267kg. Mithril ore also does not follow this trend.
