Herblore secondaries

Herblore secondaries, or secondary ingredients, are items used in Herblore to complete potions. They are commonly used on an unfinished potion, with the "primary ingredient" being the herb used to create the unfinished potion.

Two rewards from the Mastering Mixology activity interact with Herblore secondaries: The reagent pouch is able to store up to 26 of each secondary ingredient in a single inventory space, while the prescription goggles give a 10% chance to save a secondary ingredient when worn while brewing potions, except when using Crystal dust or Lily of the sands.

Upgrade secondary ingredients

These secondary ingredients are used to upgrade one potion into another. The exact amount of the secondary ingredient required depends on the potion being upgraded. For example, it takes 20 ancient essence per dose to upgrade an ancient brew into a forgotten brew.
