A Digsite pendant is a ruby necklace that has been enchanted using the Lvl-3 Enchant spell. It requires the completion of The Dig Site quest and the spell learnt from one of the archaeologists to make or use. Digsite pendants cannot be recharged and crumble to dust when all charges have been used.

Unlike most gold jewellery, this necklace cannot be enchanted until the spell has been learnt from one of the archaeologists cleaning finds in the museum. To learn how to enchant a ruby necklace, a player must first participate in cleaning uncleaned finds until a clean necklace is found in the sample; the chance of this is 1/51. If given to any of the archaeologists in the Museum's cleaning area, the archaeologist will teach the player how to replicate the enchantment spell. This requires either 49 Magic or an enchant ruby or topaz tablet.

When enchanted, the pendant can be used to teleport to the north of the Digsite, west of the Digsite barge. The number of charges on an individual pendant is suffixed to the item's name. For example, an unused pendant is named "Digsite pendant (5)". When all five teleports have been used, the pendant will crumble away. Players can cast an Alchemy spell on it when only 1 charge is left to minimise costs.

Once the quest Bone Voyage has been completed, a pendant of any amount of charges can be used on the southern strange machine (the one displaying a book with symbols) at the House on the Hill, north of the Museum Camp in Fossil Island. This gives the player an extra teleport option to the House on the Hill when using any Digsite pendant. Once Dragon Slayer II has been completed, a teleport to Lithkren can be unlocked by using a Digsite pendant on the strange machinery north of the Rune dragons. Each teleport option can be unbound by using a pendant on the machine again.

At 82 Construction, a Curator's medallion can be mounted in a Player-owned house Portal nexus, creating a Mounted digsite pendant. The mounted version of the pendant will allow unlimited teleports to the same locations as the normal unmounted version.

Price per teleport

Because the high alchemy value is the same regardless of the number of charges, some of the cost of usage can be reclaimed by alching when one charge remains.
