Amylase crystals are a potion secondary ingredient used in the creation of stamina potions. A player can mix amylase crystals with a super energy potion at 77 Herblore to make a stamina potion. One amylase crystal creates a single dose of stamina potion from a super energy(1), and as such, four amylase crystals are required to create a stamina potion(4) from a super energy(4). One crystal is required per dose, granting 25.5 Herblore experience each. Amylase crystals can be bought from Grace found in the Rogues' Den, Worm Tongue at the Colossal Wyrm Remains, and Pirate Jackie the Fruit found in the Agility Arena Store in the form of an amylase pack. One amylase pack contains 100 amylase crystals, costs 10 marks of grace, 60 Brimhaven vouchers, or 100 Termites, and can create 25 stamina potion(4).

An Amulet of chemistry or Alchemist's amulet can be used (provided the super energy potion is less than 4 doses; see Amulet of chemistry#Mechanics).

Trivia

  • In real life, amylase is an enzyme secreted by salivary and pancreatic glands used to break down starches into glucose, which is essential for producing energy from starch.
  • Similarly to in-game, a lack of a amylase in real life would cause energy levels to drain quickly during exercise
