A ferret is an item used with a rabbit snare in order to hunt white rabbits in the Piscatoris Hunter area. Players can obtain a ferret by catching one of the wild ferrets using a box trap slightly south-west of the southern rabbit holes. Once caught, the player can use a ferret to flush out a white rabbit from its hole and towards a waiting rabbit snare. A ferret is also caught during the quest Eagles' Peak to be given to Charlie.

There is a small chance of a ferret escaping from the player once caught, forcing the player to catch another one to continue hunting rabbits.
