The Friendly Forester is an NPC who runs the Forestry Shop. He can be found in Draynor Village, Seers' Village and Prifddinas.

When talking with the Friendly Forester, he mentions that the forests have awakened and that there is a growing need for individuals trained in the ways of forestry, he highlights the importance of working together with fellow foresters to look after the woodlands and help them flourish. He will then inform the player about the forestry kit, which allows players to start participating in forestry events.

The forester sits in front of a permanent fire that could be used for Cooking, as it is fairly close to a bank at the forester's Draynor and Seers' locations. Next to the forester is a small log where players can take a bronze axe to start training Woodcutting.

Ultimate Ironmen Uses

For ultimate ironmen, the Friendly Forester will store logs for use in the Forestry shop. This storage is account-wide, so players can deposit at any Friendly Forester and purchase items from another using the logs required. This is through a right-click option 'Log-storage'. Players can choose to check the log storage or deposit all logs. Depositing all logs causes all logs, including noted logs, to be deposited. Depositing logs can also be done by using on a log in the player's inventory, which will prompt the player how many they wish to deposit of this type of log. Depositing logs in this manner does not deposit noted logs if the player wishes to keep noted logs for other purposes.
