Abyssal guardians are monsters that come from the Abyss. They come through the Abyssal rift that opens up during a game of Guardians of the Rift.

The Abyssal protector is a much smaller version of the Abyssal guardians that can be obtained as a pet by searching the Rewards Guardian.

The fronts of the Abyssal guardians and the Abyssal protector have a yellow square and pink star-shaped pattern, a reference to SpongeBob and Patrick from the television show SpongeBob SquarePants.^[1]
