Weak barriers can be built inside the Temple of the Eye as part of the Guardians of the Rift activity, in order to protect the Great Guardian against abyssal creatures pouring through the Scar.

A weak barrier can be erected at the start of the game by inserting a weak cell acquired from the supply table near the entrance into any of the inactive cell tiles surrounding the Guardian. After the rift has been opened, higher tiers of charged cells can be inserted in an empty cell tile to create a weak barrier as well, which are obtained by bringing uncharged cells through a portal to a runic altar.

When fully healed up, a weak barrier can boast a maximum of 50 Hitpoints, coupled with a Defence level of 20.

Healing and repair

Weak barriers can be healed by placing charged cells in the corresponding weak cell tile, with higher tiers restoring a greater amount of Hitpoints. In case abyssal creatures break through the barrier, the broken cell tile left behind first has to be repaired with 10 guardian essence before a weak barrier can be raised again.
