The tarnished locket is an item that can be obtained from an intricate pouch, which can be received from the Rewards Guardian after completing a round of Guardians of the Rift. After inspecting it, players can give the locket to the Lumbridge Guide in exchange for the Amulet of the Eye. If the locket is lost before turning it in, it can be reclaimed from Apprentice Felix.

Trivia

• The note inside of the locket is written by Phileas the Lumbridge Guide, who reveals its backstory when given the locket. Phileas explains that it was a gift to his beloved Thenia, that he had sent her while being part of the Order of Wizards, which frequently led him to travel outside of Lumbridge in order to pursue his research. During one such trip, robbers broke into their house and killed Thenia after she tried to repel them. The locket was taken during this break in, until the player finds it in an abyssal rift and returns it to Phileas.
