A herb sack is an item that can be bought from Slayer masters for 750 Slayer reward points or from Farmer Gricoller's Rewards for 250 Tithe Farm points.

Buying one requires level 58 in Herblore (cannot be boosted) and allows the player to store up to 30 of each of the grimy standard herbs, for a total of 450 stored. A full herb sack is worth 1,348,680.

Players cannot store noted or cleaned herbs in the herb sack.

The herb sack can be manually filled by using the left-click 'Fill' option, which will deposit any grimy herbs from your inventory, unless it is full.

It can be opened or closed with the right-click options 'Open' or 'Close' respectively. An open sack will automatically deposit any grimy herbs that are picked up by the player, as well as those harvested from a herb patch and Herbiboars, provided there is space for it. A closed sack will not automatically deposit herbs.

The 'Empty' option deposits herbs into the inventory, starting from the lowest level herb, and with the bank open it will deposit all of the contents into the bank.

Using the 'Check' option will list all currently stored herbs within it in the chat box.

The herb sack is useful for killing monsters that often drop valuable herbs, such as chaos druids, flesh crawlers, aberrant spectres, and deviant spectres, since it only takes up one inventory slot. The herb sack can also be used when lighting incense burners during open altar house parties, reducing the frequency of banking or unnoting Marrentill at Phials.

Herbs stored in the sack are not lost upon death. Herbs will stay in the herb sack upon death, unless the player has untoggled this setting.

Attempting to use an item on the herb sack that is not a grimy herb will result in the message You can't possibly put that in there, it would spoil your sack.

Like other untradeables, the herb sack is lost on death beyond level 20 Wilderness. If the herb sack is one of the item kept on death the herbs inside the herb sack are also kept on death when killed by a player.
