The abyssal rift is a portal that leads into the Scar, an area of Abyssal Space. Found within the Temple of the Eye, it is periodically closed as part of the Guardians of the Rift minigame.

During Desert Treasure II, players are teleported into the Scar itself by the Catalytic Guardian, where they learn of Mia Persten's and Perseriya's fate, as well as battling against the Leviathan.
