Dragonstones are rare gems which can be cut from uncut dragonstones, requiring 55 Crafting and yielding 137.5 experience. It can then be made into dragonstone jewellery by using a furnace along with a gold bar and a mould.

Monsters with access to the rare drop table have a chance to drop cut dragonstones.

Dragonstones from the Mage Training Arena minigame are different, providing pizazz points when enchantment spells are used on them and they cannot be taken outside the enchanting chamber.

5 dragonstones can be given to Olbertus in the Forthos Dungeon to receive a temple coin and unlock the Sacred Bone Burner.

Magic

Dragonstone jewellery is enchanted using Lvl-5 Enchant, requiring 68 Magic, 1 cosmic rune, 15 earth runes, 15 water runes along with the piece of dragonstone jewellery. Charged dragonstone jewellery is some of the few usable teleportation methods beyond level 20 up to level 30 Wilderness along with the Pharaoh's sceptre, grand seed pod, royal seed pod, slayer ring and ring of life.

Trivia

  • When attempting to cut a dragonstone, the option to stop cutting the dragonstone into tips is "No! Don't cut my lovely dragonstone!"
    • If the dragonstone is left intact, the player will receive a chatbox message: You carefully take the chisel away from the expensive dragonstone.
  • Dragonstone was used as one of the tiers of post count badges on the official Runescape Forums. Players had to have made 500,000 posts to be given the dragonstone badge.
