The dark key is a key that can be obtained by looting the chest in the Isle of Souls Dungeon. Doing so requires level 28 Thieving, and the chances to pick the lock can be increased by having a lockpick.

The key is used to open Dark Chests, which can be found in the basement of the Crumbling Tower, on the north side of the Isle of Souls.
