Greegree
Greegrees are used for transforming into monkeys; however, their use is limited to the island of Ape Atoll, as Zooknock cannot use his magic over long distances (except for the Ardougne Zoo). When in monkey form, all monsters on the island become non-aggressive. Be advised that greegrees may not be equipped while in combat.
They are required during the Monkey Madness I and Monkey Madness II quests, as well as the Recipe for Disaster Awowogei subquest. To begin making greegrees, the player must first obtain a monkey talisman by speaking to the Monkey Child on Ape Atoll while wearing a m'speak amulet. Once Zooknock enchants this talisman, additional talismans can be bought from Tutab's Magical Market for 1,000 coins each.
Prior to completion of Monkey Madness II, Zooknock is located at the very end of the Ape Atoll Dungeon, where the player must traverse in order to have their talisman enchanted. After the quest, Zooknock relocates to the Tree Gnome Stronghold and provides replacement greegrees without the need for any items, unless the player has lost their ancient gorilla greegree, in which case they will need to bring a new monkey skull.
The ninja and zombie monkey greegrees enable the player to use the Ape Atoll Agility Course or the wall of flame, respectively; the Kruk greegree can be used for the course or to capture maniacal monkeys through the Hunter skill.

Other
- Players can wield a greegree while chopping mahogany and teak trees in the Ape Atoll jungle; this is helpful if they wish to avoid the aggressive monsters.
- While wielding a greegree, it appears that when using the prayer book from The Great Brain Robbery to cure poison, no prayer points will be used.[confirmation needed]
Trivia
- The small and big zombie monkey greegrees are the only ones that force the player to move slowly.
- Attempting to alchemise a greegree will give the chatbox message: The magic of the monkeys defies alchemy.
