Goading potion is a potion made by using Aldarium on a harralander potion (unf), requiring 54 Herblore and granting 132 Herblore experience.

When consumed, the potion will cause any non-aggressive monsters within a 9x9 tiled area around the player to gain aggression, including monsters which are not normally aggressive, such as dust devils. The potion does not affect monsters who are already aggressed towards another player. Each dose of goading potion will last for 6 minutes before wearing off. The effect of the goading potion may be cancelled at any time by drinking a cup of tea or teleporting away.

In single-way combat, one (non-aggressive) monster will start attacking the player after roughly three seconds once another monster has been defeated. All monsters without aggression can instantly attack the player within the given tiled area during the potion's effect duration. Before drinking the potion within proximity of multiple mid to high level monsters, always be prepared.

Trivia

  • The Goading potion is based off the Aggression Potion from RuneScape, with several differences from the original:
    • The RuneScape recipe consists of Bloodweed and Searing ashes, neither of which exist in Old School RuneScape.
    • Creating the potion requires a much lower Herblore level, unlike RuneScape which has a level 82 requirement.
