Serum 207 is a temporary cure to the afflicted villagers of Mort'ton, who are otherwise incoherent. After reading the Diary of Herbi Flax during the Shades of Mort'ton quest, it can be made by adding ashes to a tarromin potion (unf), requiring 15 Herblore and yielding 50 Herblore experience.

Using it on the lit fire altar with 20% sanctity in the Temple of Mort'ton produces serum 208, this process is a part of the Shades of Mort'ton minigame. Serum 208 is required during the Shades of Mort'ton quest and also yields better rewards when used on the afflicted.

Using it on the afflicted temporarily cures them and they will hand over a reward. The possible rewards include all the items required to make the potion, making the process repeatable for inexpensive, but slow, Herblore training. The only other potion that can be made with tarromin is strength potions, which give the same experience but the secondary, limpwurt root, is harder to find. To dispose of the potions afterwards, they can be used on afflicted, or withdrawn from the bank in noted form and dropped. Alternatively the vials can be emptied allowing the reuse of the vials. This is however not recommended as it takes a lot of time, and you can buy vials of water 100 at a time thanks to water-filled vial packs. The process of making serum 207's differentiates from other potions that it doesn't have make x option, but rather player combines tarromin potions with ashes automatically until they run out of supplies from inventory.
