drops .
Remains are items that are always dropped by creatures upon their death. These can often be used by the player to gain Prayer experience.
Bones
A player burying bones.
Creatures usually drop a certain variant of bones when they are killed. For example, goblins and guards drop regular bones , while moss giants and mountain trolls drop big bones .
Bones can be buried, or offered to certain altars for more Prayer experience. Casting Sinister Offering on them also grants Magic experience. For the costs per bone and hourly experience rates, see the price calculator and Prayer training pages.

Some creatures will always drop regular ashes when defeated, such as the elemental wizards or creatures found in the Abyss . These can however not be used to train Prayer .
Other remains
Vampyres drop Vampyre dust . This is used with a Prayer level of 54 or higher on Saradomin Braziers for 200 experience.
Sun-kissed bones are rewarded by completing Moons of Peril and Hunters' Rumours and can be offered at a libation bowl after being crafted into blessed bone shards .
Shades in the minigame Shades of Mort'ton always drop their remains. For example, Asyn shades leave behind Asyn remains . These remains are used in Firemaking for a chance to obtain Shade keys .
Metal dragons always drop several metal bars of their type, in addition to the dragon bones.
Many animals have guaranteed drops other than bones. For instance, chickens always drop a raw chicken and cows always drop both cowhide and raw beef . Animals killed with the Hunter skill often have this as well, such as the copper longtail that always drops raw bird meat and orange feathers .
Jungle spiders drop spider carcasses , that can be used in Cooking to make a spider on shaft or spider on stick .
Fever spiders drop their carcass , but only during the Rum Deal quest.
Baby tanglefeet drop leaves .
Snails drop fat snails and their shell .
Goblin high priests fought during the Hopespear's Will miniquest drop their bones (Snothead's bone , Snailfeet's bone , Mosschin's bone , Redeyes' bone , Strongbones' bone ) as quest items .
Araxytes drop their venom sacks , which can be used to cure poison and venom , or to create extended anti-venom+ potions.
Trivia
Several creatures never drop their remains, though they may drop other items. Examples include jellies , gargoyles , rockslugs , and regular spiders .
The bones of creatures being collected by the Odd Old Man during the Rag and Bone Man I and Rag and Bone Man II quests are distinct from and dropped alongside the creatures' standard remains.
Bones found in ogre coffins belonged to Fayrgs , Raurgs , and Ourgs . The first two races are extinct, and there is likely only one remaining Ourg, General Graardor . However, he does not drop Ourg bones when defeated. Only the undead Ourg Slash Bash , who is fought once during the Zogre Flesh Eaters quest, drops Ourg bones, while Fayrg and Raurg bones are not dropped by any creature.
