Blamish oil is a quest item used in Heroes' Quest. It is made through the Herblore skill, and it turns a normal fishing rod into an oily fishing rod. Oily fishing rods can only be used at lava fishing spots to catch lava eels or infernal eels.

To make blamish oil, combine blamish snail slime with a harralander potion (unf). It requires level 25 Herblore to be made and gives 80 Herblore experience. Completion of Heroes' Quest is not required to create the blamish oil in this way.

After completion of Heroes' Quest, blamish oil is a rare drop from the citizens of Rellekka and the citizens of Canifis, only if they are in human form, which requires a wolfbane dagger to stop them from transforming into werewolves.

Blamish oil has a "Drink" option, but if a player attempts to do so, their character says, "You know... I'd really rather not."
