Slayer reward points
Released 12 December 2013 (Update)
Also called Slayer points
Members Yes

Slayer reward points are rewarded after every completed Slayer task, from every Slayer Master except Turael and Spria. The higher level the Slayer Master, the more points are received. Additionally, bonus points are awarded after every 10th, 50th, 100th, 250th, and 1,000th completed task. For example, completing 10 tasks in a row awards points on both the 10th and the 20th consecutive tasks. Slayer reward points can be traded in to any Slayer Master for various rewards.

Players can cancel or block tasks at the cost of slayer reward points.

A total of 9,580 points are required in order to obtain all the rewards and blocks at least once. Using a base of 15 points, approximately 461 sequential tasks are required; not including the slayer helmet recolours reduces it to 3,580 points or around 250 tasks.

So for example, Krystilia gives 25 points per task as base points. But taken into account the bonus points players get at every 10th interval, the total number of points earned every 1000 tasks is 44,375 points, or an average of 44.375 points per task. This is a factor of 1.775x the base number of points of 25. The fact that the first 5 tasks assigned by her will not grant any slayer points is not taken into account here.

Obtaining points

With an exception of the quest A Porcine of Interest, the only way to obtain Slayer points is through completing Slayer assignments. Slayer points are not awarded for the first four tasks a player completes but are rewarded for their fifth and further tasks.

Assignments

If attempting to gain points quickly, players are advised to use Turael or Spria for the first nine Slayer tasks and then any Slayer Master that gives decent tasks for the player's combat level. Notably, Konar quo Maten gives more slayer reward points than Duradel as her tasks are required to be completed in a specified location, with Krystilia's Wilderness only based tasks rewarding the most points (at the cost of having a separate task streak from normal Slayer masters).

If a player is unsure of their current streak progress, they may ask Turael in Burthorpe or Spria in Draynor Village for a new assignment. They will tell the player how far into their streak they are, but only if the current assignment is not one that they would ordinarily give. Do not confirm the dialogue, as this will give players a new task from them and reset your task streak. Alternatively, they can simply check the enchanted gem for their current task streak.

Bonus points are gained at regular intervals, giving a certain number more than the Slayer Master's regular points. Players are recommended to use the Slayer Master having the highest requirements they meet once they approach the final task, due to the large increase in Slayer points given:

  • 5x points every 10th task
  • 15x points every 50th task
  • 25x points every 100th task
  • 35x points every 250th task
  • 50x points every 1,000th task
Slayer Master Points per task Points per 10th Points per 50th Points per 100th Points per 250th Points per 1,000th Notes
Turael / Aya / Spria 0 0 0 0 0 0 Turael and Spria have the same tasks list, apart from Spria assigning Sourhogs after completing A Porcine of Interest. Players can talk to Turael (but not Spria) to change a more difficult task to a new task assigned by Turael. This will reset the player's task streak to zero, and the player will have to complete four more tasks to begin earning points again. Tasks assigned by Turael/Spria give no points but do contribute to the four needed to start gaining points.

Requires combat level 75. Konar's tasks offer the most points outside of the Wilderness, but her tasks can only be completed by killing monsters in the location she specifies.
Krystilia 25 125 375 625 875 1,250 Krystilia's tasks can only be completed by killing monsters within the Wilderness. She has no combat level requirement, and may assign difficult monsters to all players regardless of their level. Assignments from her have a separate task completion counter from standard assignments, however players cannot receive a new task from Krystilia if they currently have an incomplete task from a standard Slayer Master.

Turael boosting

Completing nine tasks with Turael then a tenth task with Konar quo Maten, or another master that gives a large number of reward points, is a popular strategy for fast points. As mentioned above, due to the separate task completion counter for Wilderness slayer, this tenth task cannot be completed with Krystilia. For example, if you have a streak of 53, complete six tasks with Turael, then one with a higher level master.

Wearing an Expeditious bracelet will speed up Turael boosting significantly.
