Blood spells are one of four types of Ancient Magicks combat spells. Blood spells have a life leech effect which heals the caster by 25% of the damage dealt; the amount healed is based off of damage the spell would have done, allowing players to heal normally from targets with very little remaining health, or immune to damage from the spell. Clever use of blood spells can trivialize dangerous encounters or compensate for player mistakes during hard content, though they are much more expensive than other types of combat magic.
Players can increase the health returned by equipping bloodbark armour; where each piece increases the amount healed by 2% of the damage dealt, up to a maximum of 35%.
All variants of the ancient sceptre increase the healing effect by 10%, increasing the healing from 25% to 27.5% of damage dealt, or 38.5% with full bloodbark, while the blood ancient sceptre allows for over-healing Hitpoints up to 10% above the current maximum.
The Sanguinesti staff is a powered staff whose built-in spell is also considered blood magic, though is unaffected by Bloodbark armor. This spell can be used regardless of which spellbook is active.
Blood spells may refer to:
- ^ If hitting for full damage on a single target. Blood burst and Blood barrage may heal from multiple targets.
