The prescription goggles are a piece of the alchemist's outfit purchased from the Mixology Rewards shop with 8,600 Mox resin, 7,000 Aga resin, and 9,350 Lye resin, which are earned from participating in the Mastering Mixology minigame. The goggles can be cosmetically changed between a focused and unfocused variant when in the inventory.

When worn, the goggles give a 10% chance to save a secondary ingredient when mixing potions. As the saved ingredient has another chance to be saved with subsequent potions, this results in 10.0% fewer secondaries consumed overall, and 11.1% more value out of each secondary. With stackable secondaries, the chance to trigger only occurs once per potion, saving a secondary for each dose the potion has (up to 4 equivalents for a 4-dose potion); no in-game text is displayed when secondaries are saved. When gaining an extra potion dose using a charged alchemist's amulet, you do not consume an equivalent of secondary for the extra dose.

When making weapon poison(++), nightshade counts as the secondary rather than poison ivy berries. Additionally, the goggles can save torstols when mixing super combat potions or anti-venom+, and irit when mixing antidote++ (unf).

The goggles do not save crystal dust when mixing divine potions, lily of the sands when creating a Menaphite remedy, or ashes when making serum 207

This item can be stored in the armour case of a costume room, as part of the alchemist's outfit set. Ultimate Ironmen will be unable to retrieve individual pieces until the full set is stored.
