Araxytes are a rare species of arachnid found exclusively in the Morytania Spider Cave, requiring level 92 Slayer to kill. As they are abundant in numbers, able to inflict venom, and in a multicombat area, it is dangerous to fight them without prayer and a method to stave off venom.

Only the larger level 146 araxytes are able to spawn the superior variant.

They play a minor role in the quest A Night at the Theatre, where players must steal some strange spider eggs from their cave.
