The colossal blade is a two-handed sword purchased from the Giants' Foundry reward shop for 5,000 Foundry Reputation, requiring level 60 Attack to wield.

The colossal blade's stats are similar to those of the barrelchest anchor, with a slightly higher slash bonus than the anchor's crush bonus. Although it lacks a special attack, it has a passive effect to make up for it on larger size monsters. The blade also has much lower requirements compared to the barrelchest anchor, which also requires 40 Strength, in addition to 50 Prayer and 40 Ranged for completion of The Great Brain Robbery quest. Due to this, the blade can be used as a substitute for the anchor on low Prayer, 60 Attack, player killing builds. The 15, 31, and 43 Prayer builds for example, will benefit from this.

The colossal blade only has to be unlocked once; if lost in any situation, it can be re-obtained from Perdu for 300,000 as long as you do not have another copy of this item. If lost in PVP above level 20 Wilderness, the item will drop as 225,000 for the killer.

Passive effect

The colossal blade has a passive effect that increases the wielder's maximum hit against larger enemies, calculated as ${\text{MaxHit}}+[2\times {\text{min(MonsterSize,5)}}]$, meaning max hit is increased by double the monster's size value, but at most by 10 (at a monster size of 5). The ${\text{MonsterSize}}$ is the number of game squares on one side of the monster's occupied space. Example: Sarachnis is a size 5x5 monster and the ${\text{MonsterSize}}$ is 5. This bonus does stack with the bonus granted by Black Mask.
