The Giant Mole (Talpidae wysonian) is a boss found in the Falador Mole Lair, just under Falador Park, alongside some baby moles. The Giant Mole's origin and creation are described as "a slight accident involving a bottle of Malignius-Mortifer's-Super-Ultra-Flora-Growth-Potion".

The Giant Mole is accessed by digging with a spade on top of the park's mole hills. The tunnels are dark and the player will receive damage without a light source. An inextinguishable light source is recommended, such as a bullseye lantern, abyssal lantern, mining helmet, bruma torch, Kandarin headgear, or Firemaking cape. Any candles, torches, or oil lamps will be extinguished if she retreats within melee range. A tinderbox is needed to relight extinguished light sources. Alternatively, if a player has completed the quest Making Friends With My Arm and has lit the Fire of Eternal Light within the lair, they will no longer need to carry a light source in their inventory.

When using the Serpentine helm or other venomous weapons, the mole will have a chance to be inflicted with regular poison. The Giant Mole cannot be inflicted with venom. Poison damage will not cause the Giant Mole to burrow.

A player fights the Giant Mole, the result of an accident involving Wyson and an ultra-growth potion.

A common method of killing the Giant Mole is with Dharok the Wretched's equipment and 1 health (often achieved by guzzling a Dwarven rock cake or by using a Locator orb), as well as having the Protect from Melee prayer active to avoid taking any damage. This results in higher hits that decrease the time it takes to kill her significantly.

An alternative to this low health method, for those uncomfortable with combat at low health (e.g. Hardcore Ironman), is using your best Strength bonus melee gear, or best-in-slot ranged gear with a Twisted bow, the latter of which is the fastest method of killing her.

Having the Falador Hard Diary completed is recommended, as it will provide you with the Falador shield 3. This shield will also work, from your inventory, as a locator to the mole's whereabouts by a flashing red arrow on the minimap as long as she is alive. The Falador Hard Diary reward will also make the mole claws and mole skins drop in noted form.

When the mole's health is between 5-50%, there is a 25% chance for any incoming attack, including the attack that does damage to lower its Hitpoints within that range, to cause her to burrow away into another location. This excludes splashed magic attacks, meaning the mole cannot dig when a magic attack splashes on her. There is also a chance that the dirt she digs while burrowing to escape can extinguish the player's light source (shown with dirt splatters on the player's screen), though covered light sources that would not cause gas explosions in the Lumbridge Swamp Caves will be unaffected by this. Since you will be running a lot, it is recommended to bring a fair amount of Stamina or energy potions.
