The pharaoh's sceptre is a polestaff found during the Pyramid Plunder minigame in Sophanem, from the golden chests and sarcophagi. It requires 30 Attack and 30 Magic to wield.
The sceptre provides teleports to each of the great pyramids of the Kharidian Desert, using a charge to do so. Initially, the sceptre can have up to three charges, but can hold up to 100 charges as a reward from the Desert Diary. The sceptre is only tradeable while uncharged.

Recharging
To recharge the sceptre, the player must talk to the guardian mummy inside Jalsavrah, the Pyramid Plunder pyramid. The mummy will complain about the player owning the sceptre, but will recharge it anyway.
The player must give the mummy either 6 Gold artefacts, 12 Stone artefacts, or 24 pottery/ivory artefacts to fully recharge the sceptre. Different shaped artefacts may be combined as long as they are all the same material, and noted artefacts are accepted. It is recommended that the sceptre's last charge be used to teleport to Pyramid Plunder for recharging, as it is a fairly lengthy trip to return there without a teleport.
By default, the sceptre is recharged to three charges. Players who have progressed in the Desert Diary have their sceptre recharged with more charges; up to 10 with the easy diary, 25 with the medium diary, 50 with the hard diary, and 100 with the elite diary.
The following table shows recharge costs for each individual artefact according to Grand Exchange prices and compares the value of artefacts when sold to Simon Templeton. Note the items within the same artefact class may be combined to satisfy the required count.
Simon's purchase price may be useful for ironmen when comparing which artefacts to save for charges. As a general rule, using Gold artefacts are the most costly options.
Artefacts can be noted when recharging the sceptre.

Obtaining
Pharaoh's sceptres are a very rare drop received from the golden chests and sarcophagi during the Pyramid Plunder minigame. The chance of receiving a pharaoh's sceptre scales depending on the floor level. After a player finds a sceptre, they will immediately be kicked from the pyramid by the guardian mummy. If the player had no free inventory space when they found the sceptre, it will appear on the ground under them when they are outside the pyramid.

Trivia
- If the player talks to Simon Templeton while holding a sceptre, he will try to convince them that it is worthless and will offer 100 coins for it, which the player refuses.
- When someone else in the pyramid finds a sceptre, an annoyed guardian mummy appears in some rooms next to the golden chest noting that someone has stolen it.
- Before an update, the sceptre was commonly used by lurers due to having a teleport as its left click option. Lurers would tell the player to switch to a PvP world and "wield" the sceptre, where they were then teleported into a pvp zone and killed for their loot.
