The Catalytic talisman is a talisman that can be obtained from the Rewards Guardian after completing a round of Guardians of the Rift. It allows players to access any catalytic runic altar, providing the player has completed the quests to access some of them.

The talisman can be combined with a gold tiara to make a catalytic tiara for 60 Runecraft experience at a catalytic altar, by using the tiara on it. This makes the talisman disappear, but the catalytic tiara can be used in just the same way and can be worn on the head, saving an inventory space when crafting catalytic runes. Creating the tiara cannot be done whilst playing the Guardians of the Rift minigame.

The talisman (and the tiara) can be used to access the Death Altar during Mourning's End Part II to skip completing Thorgel's item list.

Though it has a locate option, using it will give the message "Nothing interesting happens."
