Although this potion will restore combat stats if they are below their base level, it will not boost your combat stats back up if they were previously boosted.
Additionally, consuming this potion will remove all divine effects of existing boosts, such as from the saturated heart or a divine super combat potion, making them tick down at the usual rate of -1 level per 60 seconds (90 if praying Preserve).
This property can prolong the usefulness of these boosts by consuming the remedy at any point before the boost runs out. A stat boosted by a divine effect will return to its base level after the divine effect expires, but removing it with the Menaphite remedy will retain the boosted stat, allowing it to tick down normally.
If new divine boosts are applied after the remedy has been consumed, they will correctly apply their divine status. This strategy can be useful at a bank to prepare for scenarios where the player's stats are frequently lowered, such as Nex, where Saradomin brews are often used. This allows the player to benefit from the stat restoration of the Menaphite remedy while retaining the benefits of their divine potions or saturated heart.
Though the potion was polled to require level 71 Herblore to make, it was increased to level 88 on release. In addition, it was polled to give 150 experience, but was increased to 200.
